Diesel Emissions Regulations

Information

In an effort to provide cleaner air now and in the future, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has established the standard for diesel emissions regulations. CARB has applied varied regulations depending on diesel engine usage. The primary difference between each of the regulations is the compliance date. Each of the recent CARB regulations require that in-use diesel engines be retrofitted, repowered or replaced in order to achieve the goal of removing at least 85% of particulate matter (PM) emitted from a diesel engine. Each vehicle or equipment operator has the choice to determine the method in which compliance is achieved.
Our goal is to make the CARB regulation compliance process a little easier by providing a central location where owners, operators and fleet managers can find the latest information on diesel emissions regulations.
