An Inspirational Leader – Ken Boshart
Ken Boshart founded Boshart Engineering in 1999 to support manufacturers in obtaining regulatory compliance with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and EPA regulations, with an emphasis directed toward emission certification.
Boshart Engineering reflects Ken’s interest in improving the environment and his extensive knowledge in designing, developing and manufacturing diesel particulate filters (DPF) for retrofitting today’s existing diesel engines.
Ken has created a positive culture that empowers employees, allowing them to be creative, use their talents and achieve professional and personal goals.
In 2007 Boshart Engineering, Inc. and SK Energy began a collaborative effort to bring the Econix® diesel emission control products to North America. In 2009, Boshart Engineering, Inc. successfully completed the California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B.) verification of the Econix® DPF-A; the first active diesel particulate filter with a 10 minute regeneration time which provides diesel vehicle owners and operators a quality, cost effective solution.
Exciting Expansion in 2011….
Excitingly, in 2011, Boshart Engineering moved forward with manufacturing directly the new Econix Next Generation® DPF-A, with their Ontario, California offices serving all their distributor and fleet owner needs.
Ken has over 30 years of engineering and management experience in the chemical, manufacturing and automotive industries. His previous professional career included employment with Dow Chemical Company, Memorex, CBS, Scott Specialty Gases and Automotive Testing and Development Services, Inc. Boshart has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Ken Boshart moved into partnership with Vanessa Summers in the Fall of 2011 on the distribution of the new Econix Next Generation® DPF-A. Vanessa previously served as Ken’s outside business consultant for over three years.
Vanessa is also CEO of Vanessa Summers Companies Inc., a multi-million dollar company, which provides exclusive business consulting services, online marketing expertise via it’s Viral Explosions division of cohesive branding / graphic design, email marketing, web site building, video marketing, blogging, social media, and search engine optimization!
